Peace Pole Installation and Blessing

Please join us at the 10:00 service at St. Martha’s Episcopal Church in Bethany Beach on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Please enter through the red doors at the corner of Pennsylvania and Maplewood.  At the conclusion of the service, we will process outside where Reverend Victoria Pretti will dedicate and bless our newly installed Peace Pole.

The four sides of the pole bear the inscription “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in four languages: English, Nanticoke, Spanish, and Latin. It is one of more than 200,000 poles across the world and the first in southern Sussex County.

We will be happy if you are able to attend this blessing and will join us in a reception afterward. This dedication is one of the final events of Delaware Peace Week.
