South Coastal Village Volunteers Presentation

South Coastal Village Volunteer is an organization that enables older adults to live independently by providing volunteer help. Now in their third year of operation, they serve Bethany Beach, Millville, Ocean View and South Bethany. Members, who pay $500 annually for a single person and $750 for a household, are entitled to up to 25 hours of services a month. Services include transportation to and from appointments, shopping, friendly visits and calls, technical help and help with small household chores. Short term memberships of up to three months at $75 monthly are available for temporary needs.

Volunteers, who are carefully vetted, choose which services to perform and when they are available to help based on a computer system. The Village is looking for additional volunteers and members, and we’d love to hear from you.

Their office, located at 32 West Avenue in the Ocean View Community Center, is open Monday through Friday 10 AM to 2 PM.
