Spiritual growth

Bible Study

Hour-long sessions are held Tuesdays at 1 p.m. from September to May. This year the group is studying the Gospel according to St. John –a different look at Jesus’ ministry compared to the other three gospels. No preparation is necessary. All are welcome, and only a Bible and an open mind are required.

St. Martha’s also hosts occasional book studies. January 2020 brought a new education offering. Parishioners shared their insights about C.S. Lewis’s “Mere Christianity” over four Sunday mornings, and look forward to more interactive educational offerings.

Week 1 of the three-week lecture series, “God in the Three Monotheistic Traditions,” was held in mid-March before the governor’s stay-at-home order took effect. This will be rescheduled at a yet-to-be-determined time. For more information go to the event listing.

The Adult Education and Community Events Committee is soliciting a volunteer to facilitate a virtual Christian book club to offer a spiritual reading opportunity while we are physically separated.
